I chronicled my first ever foray into the scary world of silicone moldmaking. I made a VERY simple mold by most standards for the purpose of practicing with the medium. I'm sure I made some mistakes, but I wanted everyone to know that there's a learning curve to this stuff! The awesome BJD artists on dA didn't just wake up one morning with master-mold-making know-how. They worked hard for it!

Please provide constructive criticism if you know more about moldmaking than I, and feel free to ask questions about the process. I'll gladly welcome either.

NOTE: The resin I bought is "Off-White" and cures to a lovely ivory color. I think it would make a nice pale skin color for a BJD!
