Why wasn't Iorveth romanceable in the game damn it!?
Anyway, this is just lovely. Beyond lovely. It's exquisite and I adore it to pieces. So thank you very much for making it!

I just saw this piece today along with this comment. That would be why I'm replying almost a year later.
I have heard it said that 'You can either love someone or covet what they have but you can't do both.' Because I believe this to be true, I do wonder if the same is true for love and hate. Both love and hate can be consuming and it is made obvious that Iorveth has a 'consuming' hatred towards humans in the game. So much of his time, energy and focus is spent on killing humans...so much so that Saskia tells Geralt that Iorveth has killed more humans than Geralt has killed chickens to eat. This is part of the reason Saskia gives for not wanting to be with Iorveth, even though Geralt and Saskia notice that Iorveth seems to be smitten with her.
