Story:
Max had never really thought of getting a pet. They were a lot of responsibility, and Max.. Wasn't a very responsible person, if they were being honest. They'd feel terrible if whatever poor creature they picked up starved or got hurt because they'd fucked off to god-knows-where on a whim and forgot. But with Molly.. It wasn't only a possibility, but might even be a good idea! They didn't really like thinking of Molly being alone for days or weeks at a time, and having a critter to keep her company might be good for both of them! With that thought in mind, and the agreement of their Miss Nanny, Max knew exactly what they wanted. They ended up getting lucky and finding a waster that had come across a mother opossum. Despite the poor thing being jerky, the stranger hadn't gotten to all of the babies yet, and Max snatched it and ran. They took it home, and even stuck around until it was old enough to be weaned before going back to their usual habits.
