Description
"My mom is a never ending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune." ~Graycie HarmonSo I could say that I decided to be awesome and paint gift art out of the goodness of my heart.
That would be lying.
What happened? I got bored, pulled up a scan of some horse sketches I had done in the hopes of doing a quick coloring job to kill the previously mentioned boredom, and found a quick sketch I had done of a mare and foal at the last state fair.
This was about a week after ~Unenvied posted her last picture, so with that on the brain, the mare became a worried Fearoch and the foal (although re-drawn because the other one was ugly) became Stitch.
Consider it a make-up birthday gift, Rochir.
Fearoch's wings are completely anatomically incorrect, but they framed the picture nicely and when I went to tilt them the whole "look" died, so they will remain hopelessly inaccurate. xD
Critique appreciated.
Fearoch and Stitch are both (c) to ~Unenvied
On a quick note: ~saiiyenlady17 , I have finished the design concept and will start working on your painting shortly, I just wanted to get this one out of the way first. Hope you're feeling better.

Firstly, this looks amazing! I love the way that everything is entirely green it really gives the whole picture an entirely different look, and adds to the sense of some sort of danger created bny the horses expressions.
The trees look great, I love the texture and the way that the beams of light show the shape of the trees. The picture being lit from behind is very dramatic, especially the mare's wings!
The angle of the mare is really cool and adds a good sense of depth as well as giving the feel that she's closer to the screen. Even though her wings aren't angled perfectly, as you said, it isn't noticeable and does frame it really well.
Your anatomy is brilliant, although something bothers me about the foal's head. I think that it may be a little big.
I decided that since my comments on your pictures are usually over 100 words i'd leave a critique e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

Oh my gosh!
Our brand-spankin' new computer broke, so I was basically unable to do anything except for log onto a laptop for the past week..or few weeks.. however long it's been, lol, before it would log off and shut off. As you might have guessed, I was pretty upset about that, so you can't imagine how happy I was when I saw the giant green block and the title of the picture in my Deviation's section, lol. This picture makes me feel so loved!
I'm going through a lot of issues with "friends," and this really gave me an emotional boost. When I was scrolling down the page (slowly... stupid laptop...) I saw the top of Fea's face and she looked super worried, but then when I scrolled down past her muzzle and down to Stitch, the whole picture changed and I saw the zeal of protectiveness. It. Was. Awesome.
My dear, those wings look absolutely amazing. Anatomically incorrect- PSH! I especially love the way they seem to arc out towards the viewer, especially the left wing.
Fea's body really puts depth into the picture, and the background is just fantastic. Green enough that it blends the bg and the characters together, yet they both stand out. I am SUPER impressed with this picture, not to mention that I feel so loved for you to have done this. <3
Stitch. Looks. So. Adorable! Just wanna squeeze the crud outta him! He's kinda got this look on his face like: "WHUZZAHH?!!?! Ma-MAH, whuzzat?! EH?!" Shokyewt<3
I'm not sure why, but I really like the way you drew Fea's forelock. Makes her look all wild and foolish and cr-r-r-azy!
The lighting is fantastic. I could go on about this forever, but your eyes probably hurt from reading all of this, hahaha.
Thanks so much, Rose! This made my life a million times better. I'm so glad my laptop finally let me log on tonight, hahaha <3
It's art of my characters like this that give me that little nudge to keep their stories going.

Tell you the truth, I had a fantastically bad day today and I think I derived as much joy from a long comment as you did from this picture. xD Yay, therapy!
I'm glad this was able to cheer you up a bit, I had so much fun doing it. XDDD And I'm glad you could recognize them, they were getting on the border of just being green with no other distinctive features. o.o;
You're so welcome and I'm sorry I can't do your comment justice with a good reply, I'm on the school computer. XD
Good, 'cause I need to know what happens!

Wow, looks so great...the green colors make it feel like a shady forest, and you did the expressions really well, as the mother horse looks protective and worried.

lovely work here - I really like the green theme and the stance of the mother over her foal. The wings on the foal also look really nice - great job

OoOoooooOoo!!!! You finished it! I like it a lot <3
The only thing I have to say is watch Stitch's hing leg. It looks as if its just sitting/floating on top rather then the front hooves which are slightly pressed into the ground. Other then that, brilliant lighting, and love the attention to detail!
Amazing work as always
