Description
This is an introduction page and working table of contents for my illustrated Book of Shadows. brightstone.deviantart.com/gal⦠The outside border was drawn using graphite pencils and then scanned into Photoshop CS 5 extended. Inside Photoshop the border was colorized, resized and expanded to match the shape of this page. The different artwork used on the page is a combination of stock images from Dover publishing, and images and effects I created in painter 11. The original size of the piece is 16" x 16". I used Wacom 21 inch drawing tablet to create this page. This is a companion page to fav.me/d47e221© Copyright Info 2011 *Brightstone

The manner in which you rendered the entire work shows great thought. The cross between the Grim Reaper and Father Time is a wonderful idea. I love how his hands are on the "clock" at midnight or Samhain, as that is the end/beginning of the New Year for those of us in alternate religions. I would like to collaborate on some work, but I research different versions of things I find and combine them, so time might be a deciding factor for you (in which case I do not fit the bill).

Thank you for your terrific comments. I enjoyed looking over your gallery as well. It's nice to know that other men are interested in fiber arts. I have a 4 harness loom and have been weaving for almost 30 years. Right now I have loaned it to my daughter who is interested in learning to weave as well.

Anytime! I'm glad you enjoyed my gallery. I seriously wouldn't be able to learn how to weave. I'm quite clumsy. Thirty years, and many more to come I hope! Your work is delightful and always an inspiration to many.
Blessed be. )0(

Upon seeing that I pursed my lips and narrowed my brow, "OOooo! That is GORGEOUS!"
And it truly is. I love the classic feel of browning paper with the amazing detail and appropriate font. Top notch work.

Thank you and yes you may, although I don't think it's the right proportions.

I've been busy with other stuff, my rate of production will probably slow down for a while
I might tackle a simplified set of pages for the calendar next
