I like this a lot, nice work. You`ve got him pictured how he originally was created (Action Force world) as an Explosive, Espionage, Infiltration, Assassination expert rather than when GI Joe (Larry Hama moreso) started the crusade of Ninja-fiying everyone).
I`ve always envisioned him (again from the early Action Force comics vs SAS force etc) as a former European Special Forces operative who faked his own death & set himself up as Firefly. Hense why no-one knows who he truely is.

Hey you did a great job, so credit where it`s due. Also thanks for that concerning my take on his back story. I cannot take total credit as said over here, we had originally Action Force (SAS Force, Z Force, Q Force & Space Force) who fought Baron ironblood & the Red Shadows. Then when HASBRO took over Palitoy (they were making the original Action Force figures, same posability as the old Star Wars figures) & brought in the "O" ring figures, they also introduced the likes of Duke et al to the comics. The stories I think (maybe biased I know) are a lot darker than the Marvel GI JOE ones.
Anyway Firefly was always shown when up again SAS Force et al as being more the Special Forces type soldier rather than Larry Hama`s Ninja version. If memory serves I think the original AF FF card detail said he was possibly European, Former SpecOps etc too.

Great work... I like the style and detail. The dark background shading makes the character bring across a suspicious and dangerous air.
