Love the feel that the watercolor(?) gives to the piece but in some spots (like the black outline) the layers seem to get a little out of hand. If you would have added a definite light source it would have added a lot more dimension. Throw in some more definite highlights and shadow to achieve this.
I also dig the more "turtley" face along with the classic red bandanas.
I like that there is variety in line but this also could have been pushed farther.
Overall anatomy makes sense which is hard for anthropomorphic creatures.
Oh, and I like the black rectangle used in the BG.

It is actually marker. I was going for a water color feel, so that is good. I agree that there is basically no light source, and that had I added one it would have punched up the impact quite a bit.
I love the turtley look of yours, and even though I had never seen it before yesterday, I think you and I were going for similar looks.
I had to do the classic all red look. I am not a fan of the blue, red, orange and purple uniforms.

The fact that you pulled that off with markers is pretty impressive. I know I've done stuff with markers and it just bleeds and turns brown on me.
You should check out water color pencils. They are basically colored pencils but then you go in with a a brush and water and it just comes to life.

I think I have an old set of WC pencils from my Dad somewhere. I will have to dig em out.
