I was thinking today, why the heck he wears the wristbands all the time. (The REAL reason is actually simple. I like it, that's all xD and I don't have to draw wrists.)

But story wise, besides wristbands being part of Dan's style, I've been playing with this idea today. As Daniel has (or used to have, depends on which part of life we talk about) a lot of self-hate issues and he once had extremely intense dark season in his life (The 6-10 months time when he had no control of what was going on with him and he was regaining strength and his previous appearance, fearing what will Lydia say when she sees him at her return) it came to my mind, that he might have tried to cut upper side of his wrists to get at least a feeling he's in control of something (Dan, I know you're depressed, but now you became stupid). Then he would wear wristbands around people (especially Lydia) to cover up wounds and later scars. Tho he would confess eventually, as their relationship was slowly rebuilding after reunion.

It fits well into theme of Dan's overall life misery xD Sorry Daniel.

But Lydia made him a better person, so I'm positive he never did it ever since.
