I'm not a landscape painter by any means, but I wanted to paint something different. I went right for it, no pencil layout just paint to canvas, which is uncharted territory for me. I also made this scene up in my head, meaning I didn't useΒ any photo reference, which is also uncharacteristic of me. It was incredibly fun and I felt way less pressure, and all and all I don't think it's terrible. Is it my best work....no, but I think I want to do this more. It did only take 4 hours so why not?Related content

Very pretty! I think you did a nice job with no references or an outline to work with. It's nice and feels happy, and many times that's way more important than perfect technical skill in an art piece.
