Description
So I see a lot of crossover and, as I do enjoy crossing universes myself, I am getting very, very irritated. For example, I see Pinkie Pie from MLP with Orichimaru from Naruto. Now, I know I sound terrible because I did it myself with Kingdom Hearts and Silent Hill, but look at it this way: I gave reasons why it's possible. Kingdom Hearts is about traveling worlds. Seeing Sora hanging out with ponies would be a normal occurrence if it happened. However, there is no reason for the ponies to enter the Naruto universe (or Bleach or other serious anime like that).
Unless it's a parody, there really is no reason. It makes no sense in my mind. Call me bigoted, but it's not just ponies. I see people put YuGiOh characters in Fallout. It doesn't make sense and it never will unless they can turn their card games into guns. It just doesn't happen.
So, there's my point. Belief or disbelief rests with you, as the Garo once said, so you don't have to agree with me. I just felt like making a stamp about this.

Actually a Kingdom Hearts can Crossover with almost everything since it's traveling though Worlds. Although some can be weird.

There's still a limitation with KH, though. Generally speaking, they can only crossover with Disney/Pixar and Square Enix games made by Nomura. xD
I don't mind too many crossovers with them because of the Worlds part.

My approach in doing crossovers is to depict them as an alternate reality/timeline that branched off of the main franchise's timeline, and thus the main timeline remains untouched:

If enough work and forthought is put into a crossover, anything can cross over and make sense.

Yes and no?
I mean, yes, if you can find real ways to make it happen, I'm sure! However, there is a sense of "does it make sense to put these two things together?"

Well, I'm actually going to try and tie MLP with FNaF which will also be a reimaginging of the old Cupcakes fic.

That's a crossover I've seen a lot, tbh.
Because of Cupcakes, there's been a lot of grimdark added to MLP.

Well, I'm actually attempting to make a sly cross over. Unless you know of FNaF 2, it would be impossible to tell. Cross overs are usually out front, I want to make one more in the background. I'm even changing the appearence and the title is not a cross over title. I would say the cross over part could be considered more as a cameo I suppose.

SuperWhoLock doesn't work because it's crossing over horror, science fantasy and crime drama. Also, the Doctor and Sherlock rarely leave the UK and there's no way Sam and Dean are gonna leave the States because Dean is afraid of flying

BritishMindslave In reply to sonikkuruzu [2014-04-22 16:59:48 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, that doesn't make sense at all. uu Crossing over genres isn't that much of an issue so much as the context itself. Aren't most of them from different time periods, anyway? Well, at least I know the Doctor is a Time Lord, but you know.

Supernatural, Doctor Who and Sherlock take place in different universes and the TARDIS ends up being depowered when she travels through universes so the Doctor's gonna have to get the TARDIS to recharge twice. By that time, the companions'll have got bored and wandered off. Besides, the Doctor wouldn't get on with Sam, Dean, Sherlock or John because they all use guns and the Doctor doesn't approve of them

I see the Doctor is involved in universe hopping. While the crossover is unlikely, I do see a minor detail out of place. Allow me to add my nugget of knowledge.
The Doctor has, in fact, gone to the USA before in his Tardis. The first few seasons they do show mostly sticking to the UK, he does go outside of that zone. While I admit I don't know all the episodes off the top of my head, there is the one time that is a pretty big deal. I believe the episode is "The Impossible Astronaut". There are also the trips to Venice and Pompeii. Along with other such trips like that it wouldn't be too hard to believe the Doctor would/could tumble his way over to the US again.
As for the dealing with people who use guns. He does that often. He tries to convince them to not use them all the time. Sherlock, although he can, doesn't really use them often, that would be Watson. Even then, he's not exactly trigger happy himself. I think the most the Doctor would have trouble with with them would be Sherlock's all but detached view on the lives of others.
I don't watch Supernatural, but from what I'd seen it would be the most impossible for there to be a flawless crossover. More likely would be a Sherlock/Doctor type thing. Though don't get me wrong, you'd still have to work on it. All the shit going down in Doctor Who, Sherlock would be all over those mysteries. Come on, he's a bored genius. What could be more entertaining then investigating things that involve the Doctor?
Anyway, this got WAY longer then I intended. But my points are valid.
Doctor-Lock -- Plausible with some work.
Super-Doctor -- You'd need a lot of work and an open mind.
Super-Lock -- Nope, not gunna happen.
Super-Who-Lock -- Bawhahahahaha
Enjoy my annoying logic.

That makes even more sense LOL
My friend DancingTwinBlades knows more about Doctor Who than I do, so what I know is from her.
Thanks for the explanation though! That's definitely true, it wouldn't make sense, at least not in a serious, plot-driven story.

That's a little odd, but at least with Kingdom Hearts some crossovers are entirely possible because of world-hopping.
Pairing is still weird, but it's a preference. xD

Me too I love that film
I also want to see Goof Troop since I loved that toon
And not for romance reason for both, Treasure Planet for all the adventurous potentials and Goof Troop since I loved the world representing Steamboat Willie in KH2 for humour and I really want to see Max Goof again it's years since Max appeared

I don't really have anything for it in my profile. I watched the movie when I was a kid, and have seen it on TV a few times. uvu I absolutely love Disney Movies. <3
That was a fantastic cartoon, too! I used to watch that too xD
It would be really awesome if they put Max in KH, and Jim. I think they would make fantastic worlds in the game, if Max isn't a partner or anything. There's a lot more KH to come, and new bad guys, so I'd love to see what they put. ouo/

I'd love to see more Disney movies especially those on the early 2000s by this point since most are not well known other than Lilo and Stitch and I don't want them to poof out into existence like they look like they are going to be compared to most of the 90s film
I was so thrilled to see Hunchback of Notre Dame on Dream Drop Distance whee Paris and bell towers I was scared that film is vanishing into obscurity and I was so happy to see otherwise

They(Sleeping Beauty and Snow White) are well known today though
Can't say the same for those after Tarzan but before Princess and the Frog(sorta for Princess and the Frog but on the other hand the 2D animation house died recently I am not too thrilled, a little too much CGI film and a little too little hand drawn ones, especially since cel animation like those two films you just mentioned died ten years ago)

BritishMindslave In reply to HienFan [2014-01-04 15:08:25 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, you're right.
I prefer their 2D animation over anything else. The reason Frozen pissed me off so much is because the literally just reused Rapunzel's face. I'm caving and wanting to see it, despite the fact that it disgraces the original tale so much jflksdjf
If anything, Atlantis: The Lost Empire hasn't been used for a while, either.

Sadly I agree with Atlantis(And Brother Bear), I'd like to see that as well
I was not too thrilled they used CG for Frozen either. I'll see the film either way
I'm not thrilled either all of the film might CG forever in the future. Aw gees 60s years of 2D(in a row) and we have to see it die with that Winnie the Pooh film on 2011(I'm not a huge fan on how short and light that was compared to the other sequels or even the first film)

We'll see some animation, eventually. I hope, anyway. lkf;sdk They can't just let it die.

BritishMindslave In reply to HienFan [2014-02-27 21:32:07 +0000 UTC]
As nice as that would be, it won't happen. It's too expensive, and it takes much less time with digital art. The materials are so much cheaper, and it'll be so much easier to find someone who can animate in that media.
By the way, I saw Frozen the other day. I loved it. xD

Hell no! There is war in both New Vegas and Fallout 3 (in both you're also the badass that nearly single handedly wins the war) but it's an open world RPG. Unless if the sory calls for something else, you do what you want, when you want. There are all sorts of mutant creatures that came to be, through the nuclear war that destroyed the Earth 200 years before New Vegas and Fallout 3.
