griffsnuff 's character Bob with his companion, Spot! Talk about biting off more than you can chew! OTL.. Basically the idea I had was for Bob to lose Spot and on each side of the chest, Bob is searching Griffia for Spot. On the finished side he's poking a beehive incase Spot somehow managed to get inside, the top and front (I'll link to the sketches in stash) he's calling out looking for him, and the opposite side than what's painted he's looking inside of a fallen tree. Spot is supposed to be hiding inside the chest, so I made the figure to place in there. I thought making a physical entry would stand out from the rest but I was a little too ambitious for such a short contest period expecting to complete it. I didn't have enough time to finish every side of the chest but I worked so hard on this and wanted to submit something for the contest, I didn't want it all to go to waste. I hope it qualifies because there's a full painting and fully painted sculpture. Spot is the reason I couldn't finish in time! He took much longer than anticipated.. I doubt it cause I didn't finish but I really hope I win cause I want a bagbean so badly ;u; Tina, if you're reading this, I will gladly finish the rest and mail it to you if the shipping to Norway isn't insanely overpriced XD I just ran out of time before the deadline and need at least some sleep cause I have work tomorrow ;^; It's 1:05 am here! Although I hated painting the box because the texture gave me trouble, I really enjoyed sculpting Spot since it's been a while since I last sculpted He was very challenging with his spikes and cheek shape, I liked translating his 2D design into 3D although I still think I could have done better if there wasn't any pressure to get him done by tonight Learned a lot when I painted him! And also learned you should sand a wood box before painting it so you're not painting on grooves that don't wanna be painted!!
