~ PERSONALS ~Personality:
Affectionate – Cocoa has a basic sense of love for almost everyone and everything. Her heart is wide open and she can give heartfelt smiles and hugs from the very beginning of an acquaintance!
Compassionate – Even when Cocoa can’t fully understand the issues someone else is going through – she earnestly tries, and still does her best to give them the reaction they need.
Generous – Although Cocoa is not made of money or goods, she happily shares all she has with those around her. Especially meals are often on her when she feels someone needs them.
Mediating – Cocoa is actually pretty good at listening to both sides of a story and finding the core problems. Combined with her optimistic attitude, this can help her mend small rifts between people at time.
Gullible – The darker side of Cocoa's kindness is that she is quick to trust people, and to forgive and forget. It makes her easier to manipulate.
Sheltered – All Cocoa has ever experienced was people shielding her from the uglier sides of the world. Even with the hunger and tension she and her family went through, the actual horror of the Trials was a vague concept for her, not something she witnessed up close. It can make it hard for her to understand and fully appropriately react to people who have dealt with much harder issues than her, or to recognize subtle but powerful issues in the world around her.
Reckless – Not really the kind of reckless rushing headlong into battle, but rather the kind where Cocoa doesn't always fully take stock of her resources before making a commitment. Needy – It's not a conscious thing, but Cocoa was raised loved by a whole village. She subconsciously still craves that attention and love and can get as emotionally needy as a puppy towards other people.

History:

Cocoa grew up in a very loving family, with both of her parents still together, alive and healthy now. They were the kind of village witches who tended to injuries and illnesses the villagers came to them with, blessed their fields and livestock, and gave wise advice when sought out.

They never used their magic intensely enough to truly need permanent vessels, although one family of villagers tended to help them out with spells that needed one.

When Cocoa was born, a small, round child with bright eyes and fluffy curls, she quickly became beloved by her family and slightly sheltered by the villagers. Her parents had helped raised so many of the village children, so now the people there returned the favor.

Sadly, the Witch Trials soon came close enough for some very close brushes with the village Cocoa's family belonged to. After many a night fearfully hiding in hollowed out trees and silently praying for their survival together, the villagers decided to help Cocoa's family escape. The family whose members sometimes helped out as vessels took them under their wing and together, the trek to a safer place could be made.
That time on the run was unpleasant to say the least, dominated by fear of any human settlement. Even with their human helpers, not every settlement was safe to access, and food was scarce out in the wild.
Driven by her frequent hunger, Cocoa's powers adjusted to her deep desires and she developed a knack for turning things edible and creating food wholesale. It helped the group of refugees survive until they finally arrived at a safe place: Aradia, soon after it's founding.

Cocoa has since begun to focus more on improving her magic and settled into Aradia quite neatly. She cares for her parents and became the main breadwinner of the family.
