The month of forgiveness, hope, & peace. A month where people come together to get closer to Allah. A month, where people who have sinned come to work on their past mistakes - Ramadan.

First of all, I'd just like to say, Ramadan Mubarak, ya'll! I'm so sorry for the late upload, I had my exams going on for a really long time, and I was just going through very stressful times overall

As for the drawing, I originally made it for a competition hosted by an organization named "narrativehouse" & I must say, this project was really fun to work on. I made this over the span of 3 weeks (Took me a long time cause I had my exams going on).

Even though this project had its ups and downs, I'm very glad I finished it, as this artwork is perfect for capturing the spirit of Ramadan. This was especially inspired by my own experience. Oftentimes, when I would feel lost & hopeless, I would pray. This really helped me to calm my mind & would relight my candle of hope. I personally think that praying is one of the best therapies for a struggling person, & I wanted to showcase this in my artwork. The art showcases the transformation of one person, over the span of a year. The left side is kept black & white to establish the gloomy tone, whilst the right side is drawn with bright, vibrant colors to establish the hopeful tone.
