Hmmm. Interesting point.
Looking at where the explosion is coming from- the shadow would seem to fall in front of the action.
I think throwing a shadow on the foreground would definitely add a layer of dimension, but may make the dragging light and "claw stop" less visually readable.
...or maybe it would make those elements pop more?
The world may never know...

The two sources of light kind of negate a hard shadow on the ground...But one could argue for it.
