I swear that I started the art with the exact same ratio as the original 1280x720. But somehow it ended up being 1280x760.
Man, when I did the lineart I was trying to do that style with the thick rough-edged lineart that you might sometimes see in comic books. It's usually done with a bright coloring style. But I don't think the way I colored really fits with that lineart. I tried a new type of lineart but ended up coloring like I always have, no attempt to simplify or trying something out of my comfort zone, and have it match the lineart.
I think I might figure out what my art process is by practicing with screencaps. Like, this looks nice. But it took me so long to do. I'll probably lose interest in drawing if I were to try to make this into my process for everything. I get sucked into the details and once one part is detailed I want everything else to match it. It's like an addiction.
I want to have a faster, simpler process that still results in work that I'm pleased with. I'm going to really have to start challenging myself to try different exercises for simplifying when next I redraw. Right now my process is completely untamed, and feels out of my control. Gonna have to figure out how to hone that.

This was one of my favorite episodes, because it was like the Blade of Marmora were teaching him what it meant to be Galra Warrior and to embrace his heritage.

I hope they return for Season 3 as a close but still distant ally. Like the Klingons are to the Federation. There is so much potential in the Blade of Marmora the possibilities are just mind boggling.
Like the originators of the "BoM" could have been or royal Galra blood before Zarkon decreed himself Emperor. Because if you look at them their general appearance, ethics, and mannerisms differ from the Empire's. They have a sense of duty rather than simply following orders, and their weapons, made from a material that quite literally doesn't exist anymore. - Just a theory I am postulating.

Yeah. That'd be cool. I'm waiting to see what kind of connection exists between the Alteans and the Galra. I mean, originally they fought together and formed voltron. Haggar is Altean. All her druid minions, we never saw their faces, I wonder if they could be Altean.
Like I'm wondering if maybe Alteans and Galra were once one people or something, like Galrans evolved from Alteans after leaving their home planet or something. Or vice versa. Like maybe the Blade of Marmora has their traditions based on Altean origins.
I want some meaty flashbacks of the "dark history of the original paladins" so we can learn more of the altean/galra history.
