Man, I hated The Sopranos final episode this Sunday. What kinda ending was that? I wanted him to go down... take a bullet like any respectable mob boss! Phil Retardo's hit was really good; shot thru the head then it got run over by his own expedition... classic!Sketch this portrait of T with a sharpie marker while watching the show tonight. Fonts and blood later added with PS 7.0. Fuggetaboutit!!!

i hated it too! it really felt like something was going to happen right at the end, like it was REALLY building up, you know? and then.....NOTHING, it just cut out with a black screen! what a ripoff - it's the only reason we get HBO in the first place! and what the hell is up the Paulie and A.J. storylines? A.J. just suddenly stopped caring about everything again, and Paulie didn't snap like i wanted him to...ugh. I'm so disappointed, last week's episode was so much better!
and by the way, there is no way Tony would be killed off, because the producers want to make a movie with many of the original characters from the show

I hope they don't make a movie... imagine if the season ending was this dissapointing how much the movie would suck. I'd be hesistant to go see it on the big screen. I even saw it a second time around and a few things became clearer or so what I think happened? The ending was so vague that any interpretation could work. Mine is the following:
Tony walks into the diner he looks for a spot in the diner towards the back and sits facing the entrance to spot any suspicious patrons. We see a guy that looks like a trucker come in and we immediately suspect something. Then the italian followed by AJ. Then the black teens and we are now anticipating that any one of these people can be the one to end Tony's life. Meadow like a dork takes her time parking into a spot that even stevie wonder could back into. The italian patron (with members only jacket) walks into bathroom, Tony suspiciously looks on. Meadow walks in and the entrance bells chime. This distracts Tony and he never sees the guy from the bathroom step up beside him and BLAM! Death is quick and there is no music in this ending. Or they ate their dinner like a happy family and off they went on with their lives... I hate David Chase!

that bastard! i hate him too. i remember i used to be a huge fan of another show that became a movie and it was rather disappointing. i don't know if you used to watch the Xfiles, but that show kicked ass... the movie did not bring any kind of closure to the series, it kind of just left you hanging.
it's worse than the Seinfeld finale

Oh yah, I was a X-Files geek back in the 90's (whoah Scully flashbacks). Yah the way that show ended was disappointing too, the movie wasn't that bad, it just like you said left too many loose ends floating around.

Oh you gotta watch it, one of Sam Raimi's (Spiderman director) first films done on a very low budget, but easily one of the goriest and sickest movies of all time. I read on the IMDB that they are making the remake of it in 2008, however Sam Raimi might not be behind the camera. Definitely worth checking out but don't watch it alone!
