this is actually fan art of one of my favourite artists Ashly Wood. he is really creative with his traditional work with a badass set of robot designs he uses allot 8Djust look him up
and this poor guy is sad becuase his only friend is his teddy bear ;;;3;;;

I have no idea why, but for some reason this robot remindsΒ me of Claptrap from Borderlands, even though there's not much similarity.Β I guess maybe it's the eye that reminds me of Claptrap.

Very much evocative of Warbot in Accounting.
It was alone. So very alone.
The Great War had ended, by its quite possibly inaccurate, estimation about twenty five years previously. But even so nothing came to the ruins. They were too inhospitable to support animal life and humans still feared those robots that hadn't been deactivated. Occasionally it came across another machine, but they were either nonfunctional, dense or still stubbornly following their programming.
The robot knew it was different; it felt it was different. Its mind worked in ways that were not mentioned in its online operating manual and it did things it wasn't supposed to. The teddy bear for instance. That wasn't supposed to happen. The robot called him 'Mr blue.' that wasn't supposed to happen either.
There was usually nothing to do in the ruins except scavenge for spare parts, as per the program, or update the few remaining functional transmitters, as per the program, or scan for targets, as per the program. But now it had something different to do. A target had been detected not half an hour ago. It was close too, and getting closer. The robot was very good at tracking targets.
So were the others, the robot would have to be faster.
Humans seldom ventured into the ruins, but seldom wasn't never. Some wanted to explore, some had been forced there, still others just didn't want to live anymore. The robot occasionally came across fresh bodies and even more occasionally living ones. It wasn't a specialized drone of course, but the humans still fled from it if it was spotted. All the robots that had been used in the Great War were feared, all had been given the same basic instructions, to cease human life.
This sadden the robot which often spent large chunks of its downtime wondering what it would be like to have been programmed differently, to have been something else, to have other options, a different life. Sometimes, when it was especially sad it wondered what it would be like to have no higher programming at all and to be like the base drones that spent their time spinning in circles, traveling long forgotten routes or just knocking into walls. That was another thing that shouldn't happen.
The target was much closer now. Though the robot was not in the best state it functioned. Visual confirmation was made with two of the three remaining light sensors the robot possessed. It was indeed a human, male and quite old. The target was moving slowly and irregularly, indicative of either an injury or general poor condition.
The robot moved quietly, wanting to get as close as possible before detection. This was the first human it had come into contact with for some time, and given its current state it would be a long time before it encountered another, possibly long enough that it would cease function before that happened. It could not let this opportunity pass it by.
The robot was remarkably stealthy; it had after all been designed that way. But it shouldn't have been able to get this close this easily, it still made a considerable amount of noise and any competent human would have detected it now. The robot made a quick scan of its data banks and concluded that the human either could not hear it, or didn't care.
When it was a mere few feet away it reached out an appendage and grabbed the human firmly on the shoulder. It emitted a surprised sound and turned around as quickly as it could manage. For a few brief moments the robot saw the surprise and fear in its eyes.
There were a few wet, dull noises as the robot slammed its other appendage into the target until its entire skeletal system was disrupted. Target was ceased.
And once again it was alone. So very alone.
