Considering he cannot be summoned in over 43 different stages in Smash Ultimate, I actually have to agree with you on that... Poor Andross indeed!

Well fuck me because that polygonal abomination haunted my dreams until i was 20 and finally beat him. The monkey head actually never bothered me, although the robot decoy on the easy route was pretty freaky too.

Andross was never finished in the snes of star fox, neither was his attacks, and we have no idea why. For whatever reason, Nintendo included this version in the new smash game, maybe as a joke
