....and NO it's not the key to my heart. It was a backhanded metaphor a the time.

I guess metaphor isn't the correct term. It was about anger and inner peace, personal exploration and social resistance. It was created in my first "real" studio after a bad break-up around time in my life that I was getting a clue about life. Most thought it was the old - key to my heart - except there is no keyhole in the heart, and the key is encased BY the heart. By steel no less.
note - The green glass on top is made from the broken beer bottles from the first night in that studio. The steel was from a Jeep that I was working on and the red velvet was from - Eh'em - someone's dress.

back when I did this I had created a lot of "evil" hearts. Rusted and torched metal, crazy steel wings. I'm not a "heart" guy either...guess that was the point. Hearts-n-hot rods, whiskey-n-iron. - you know....
