.The Rookie has a PHD in Bad Ass with the Master Chief Seal of Approval. I played ODST the other day and it was pretty awesome. Wont spend to long preaching on the ups and downs, so all ill say is:
Epic story line but kinda stupid how it was set in Halo 2 time and yet it had most of the halo 3 weapons and vehicles that didnt exist in Halo 2. maybe since the elites left earth right before the drop, only brute technology was around... but you would think you would find an old Elite plasma rifle laying around or H2 Gun Turret... speaking of old technology... when Halo: Reach comes out i hope since because its pre-halo 1 we wont see any H3 shit.. i demand a Mark V HUD like the one in the 1st halo. NO BRUTES. NO DRONES. NO CHOPPERS. NO ANYTHING THAT IS SHOWN AFTER HALO 1. And god forbid if i dont see a old school H1 purple fuel rod... there will be hell to pay.. lol
wow i can go on and on...

First off, great work here, thumbs up. Indeed the Rookie was meant to represent us as the player (hence is why he was a total mute except for one pained grunt or so at the start of the game when Romeo hits him with his sniper rifle) and I think you portray him nicely in this.
Secondly, the Spartan III's you see in Halo Reach are using Mark V armour permutations and the Brutes may very well be returning (maybe their weapons and vehicles but the Spike and Fire Grenades are definately confirmed to have recieved the cut so we won't see them anymore).

Yeah same type of armour but modified to fit the Spartan III's (save for Jorge). And yes things change but it's not like the HUD is really a huge difference. Looks more polished and improved.

then you've never played halo 1!!!! they had a simular "cool-down" system like the plasma rifle. fire to many and it over heats. it doesnt fire in a straight line, it travels similar to how a grenade is thrown. its awesome and i was sad when i played H2 and it wasnt there

well the grunts usually carry them on the later levels on legenday. and they are on the multiplayer maps. wait... have u played the xbox version or the pc? because i think they added them in on the pc version. im pretty sure they are on the xbox version too but just not on the multiplayer maps

well they are simular to the hunter's fuel rod in halo 1 except not attached to your arm.

have a look at that page. go down to the "changes from halo 1 to halo 2" part. also now that you mention it, i was modding halo 1 a while back and i noticed the orginal skin for the H1 fuel rod was goldern so they must of made it purple at the last second and then changed it back to gold in H2.
