This is my application for
But he is also going to be used as a side character as well seeing as how i has no humans....
Anyways! The important stuff!
I mainly just joined this group to draw anime, Pokemans, and and work of my use of effects in photoshop and stuff.
I apologize for the purple ink. I didnt like how the black looked and honestly my background was green when i was sketching so i left it how it was. (I sketch in different inks)

(This is his Contest attire. I'll be uploading a horendous chibi reference of his regular clothes later. I might remake it as well. I dunno)

Drake is rather uptight and modest. He likes things his way and to keep a balance in his life. He hates that he takes things so seriously, so he is often seen in a distraught or agitated attitude. He loves a good competition and often gets caught up in the action, often jumping around and acting dramatic.

History:
Drake grew up in the small town of Verdanturf in Hoenn. He is the middle child in his family of five, with his two brothers, Maxwell and Riley, and his parents. In his town, everything was always prim and proper, always fixed to be perfect. His parents were Item Sellers so they often would be traveling all over the regions with little time to hang around the house. So the saying "It takes a village to raise a child" really did apply to the children, although Drake's eldest brother, Riley, was more than happy to watch his brothers (but because of his spontaneous tendencies the town frowned upon him).

When Drake was eleven years old he was introduced to the world of coordinators. In Vendanturf, the Pokemon Contest Hall was open to winners of two ribbons from other competitions. Riley's girlfriend, Tory, had been entered and the family went to support her. Drake watched in amazement as the people delicately handled the pokemon. He learned that they didn't always have to be pitted against each other to see who was the strongest. Sometimes it just took a little skill to be number one.

Two years later he had caught a few of his Pokemon and was training in Pokemon battles with his brothers Riley and Maxwell, and his Contest skills with his newest sister-in-law Tory. He was ready for anything. Except a little redhead named Serenity. She was the first thing Drake had ever considered competition. She had came to participate in the local contest, but stopped to battle with some of the others in town, one being Drake. She encouraged him to take off and pursue his own destiny on a bittersweet night on a rooftop. When she left town, he left town. He was going to get stronger and defeat his rival. He intended to show her he was in control of his life.

Now Drake is sixteen and has been traveling for three years now. He has yet to begin his Gym leader Challenge, but hopes to be able to do that while following the Pokemon Contests around all the regions.

Raft - male - Hasty nature

Raft was originally a buizel that Drake was given by his parents when they came back from a trip to Sinnoh region. It was his first Pokemon and he is always Drake's secret weapon along with his favorite. Raft is very obedient and acts much like the "big brother" of the team. He wants everyone to be taken care of and always in line. He can seem quite stern and hateful at times however.

~Munchlax~
Snax - male - Hardy Nature

Snax is bothersome, slow, and often very defiant. He loves food like all muchlax do. Snax was found when Raft and Drake were exploring the cave in Vendanturf Town. He looked to be trapped under rocks, but when they went to help, the little mutant went straight for Drake's bag. He quickly stole all the food. Raft, seeing as how their food was all gone, attacked the Munchlax. After it fainted, the two left the cave, highly annoyed. Later that night as Raft and Drake were finding constellations, Snax waddled up and gave them several rare berries. Now that Drake could get a better look at the little guy, it turned out that he was really young. Drake saw an opportunity to take a Pokemon under his wing and teach it to right his wrongs. Needless to say, they are still working on him.

Dragon is the happy go lucky member of the team. He is also one of the most versatile battlers, taking on the mighty dragon types as well as the strongest and biggest fighters that challenge the team.

Ellie - Female - Naughty Nature

Ellie was the offspring of Tory's Ninetails, Blair, and Riley's Ninetails, Harvey. She was hatched and was given to Drake as a birthday gift.

Ellie, in short, is the Queen. She is to be waited on hand and foot. She sincerely loves everyone on the team, but she loves getting them in trouble so much more. Especially Raft. And, being the only girl as well as the youngest, she often gets special treatment.
Ellie always wears her purple scarf.

~Banette~
Soul - Male - Brave Nature

Soul is a....special case. He is constantly goofing off and playing silly little tricks on the team.

~Abomasnow~
Timber - Male - Lax Nature

Timber was found as an abandoned and abused Snover. Drake and Raft rescued him and helped him gain his strength back. When it was time for him to go, Timber denied and stayed with the team. He is extremely calm and impartial.

Additional Info:
Drake has a crush on Serenity, but since he has left on his journey he hasn't found her, but occasionally he sees her on tv when viewing the "Pokemon contests channel".

Many times, Drake will get into arguments with Raft seeing as how they act so similarly.

Drake absolutely hates caves.

Raft often stays outside of his pokeball, insisting on watching Drake's back.
