Jenny has a sore toe that has been bothering her all day at school. She probably stubbed it walking the hallways in her sock-feet. It's gotten so painful that she just has to pull off her sock and examine it closely, but she doesn't dare bare her foot in school! Imagine what the class would do if she were to remove her sock in class and start probing her toes with her fingers. The boys would go wild! So, she excuses herself from Mr. Stickler's Algebra II class and putting on her shoes she goes outside. Once outside the school she pulls off one shoe and sock to look closely at her toe. It is red and sore but otherwise okay. The cool spring air helps soothe the little toe, and soon she dons her footwear again and goes back inside.
