I have seen the REAL Script of Batman Forever and Two-Face was much more darker than the one potrayed in the Forever film and very true to the comic book charictor. Here's the proof, [link]
It seems to me that the writer Akiva Goldsman had got the details right on Two-Face in this script. But i guess they altered the script to suit WB's needs back in 95.
Also Schumacher could have made a darker Batman Forever like Burton's if he hadn't been under heavy pressure from WB studio to do so and said that his films were made intentionally marketable (or "toyetic") and kid-friendly hence why Tommy Lee Jones was a Joker knock-off instead of the Two-Face we all know and love.

I do enjoy seeing that I'm not the only one who thinks Schumacher is entirely to blame, à la Uwe Boll and HIS films... I mean, Lost Boys had the perfect mood, and then Falling Down was all about one man's intense desire to get home and get revenge. I do believe he is very visual, and that is always a good thing. I'd rather see Batman & Robin than The Dark Knight any day of the week because TDK is too... dare I say realistic? Whereas B & R just seems like a dumb fun remake of the 60's show. Otherwise, the scope of the sets, the score by Elliot Goldenthal, the lights, the action, for 1998, are extremely high budget and it shows. While the story is weak weak and the acting for some weaker (I mean, WTF Uma Thurman, were you even trying?). I also loved the Bruce Wayne / Batman dynamic of Forever. Unlike the first two where Wayne is a rich weirdo, Kilmer's Wayne is good with the ladies and able to hide his other persona better. His Batman was appropriate and worked well, all things considered. Keaton's Batman was awesome, but his Wayne was too much of a shut in unfortunately (plus Batman killed in the first two, which is a big no-no). Clooney's Wayne is perfect for the public persona but all else seems a bit flat. Much less ridiculous than the growly Batman of the Nolan films though. Although I thought Bale makes a good Wayne.
Glad to see someone who doesn't hate Forever blindly.

As much as i like Nicole Kidman in Batman Forever, but what really grinds my gears is that they had the balls to make 2 (ONLY 2) reference to Burton's movies, Pre-Joker shooting the Wayne family leaving the boy alive to become you-know-who and Nicole Kidman makes a small note of Catwoman but NO Penguin....

True. I take bigger offense towards the recent Nolan films, as they basically are saying that the older ones are shits, HERE'S HOW IT REALLY HAPPENED, à la Clue. Not a fan of those recent ones to be honest. More like Jason Bourneman than Batman to me.

Well the only thing i didn't like in Burton's Batman Movies was Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent. He was a CINO (Character In Name Only) like Halle Berry's Awful Catwoman movie and "The Token Black Guy" who despite being present often has no function in the overall plot, does little or nothing in the film itself. The only good thing he did was read Batman's letter in the end and introduce the Bat-signal. That was it! Waste of time and character.
I've got nothing against Billy Dee, but he was horribly miscast as Harvey Dent. The character itself in Batman '89 could have been anyone. There was nothing particularly Harvey Dent about him at all. He was a non entity in the movie.
I think the main reason he wasn't asked back is because he just didn't physically suit the role of Harvey Dent. He's a fine actor, just physically wrong for the part.

We do agree on that. If only Tommy Lee Jones didn't give us a Jack Nicholson performance and instead was subdued, dark and quiet. Then again, Arnold could've been a silent Mr. Freeze and THAT movie would have been 200% better...

It would be interesting to do a Bruce Timm type animation of her. Wonder if he ever tried? Maybe there was a licensing thing.
Did you know Rene Russo was originally supposed to play Chase?

Yup, way back when Keaton was set to star. I do, however, have nothing against Nicole Kidman looking totally hot in this. Man, say what you will about Forever, but it had the better love interest and psychology of Bruce Wayne / Batman in the 90's movie series. In fact, I personally prefer Forever over Begins... Call me crazy...

I do too! It was the best of the Batman live action movies. I still prefer the Dini-Timm series.
