I have extreme troubles sleeping too. I fall asleep after like one in the morning.

At least if I can't sleep, I can get a lot of stuff done. It's how i get most of my ideas actually, then jot them out, then when i go to school, i doodle them out.

I usually finish my homework right then and there in class. Most cases, whatever the teacher discusses, I either know or can study ahead for. Finish the homework, fill in whatever notes they have, and doodle for the rest of class.
