Description What if the planet mars were a kitty?  The ancients thought of Mars as a masculine, war-like planet.  So that's what I tried to capture in this little guy.  He was sculpted in FIMO, and then painted with acrylics.  You can buy him on Ebay HERE .

What do you use for the whiskers?

Wow, when you say it like that it sounds like you're harvesting organs. But that's amazing! It must take forever to get all that amazing detailing

LOL. My Himalayan never knows anything is missing from her back. These do take forever. Some people think I'm rich, when they see how much these cats sell for. But nope. I make $5 an hour, while they make $13 in their job. My simplest cats, with closed eyes and very basic pose take a day. A whole day.

Aw, I love Himalayans! Sphinxes have got to be my favorite, though. They're so ugly that they're cute ^-^ Like bulldogs.
Wow. You should do a process collage and mention how much time each step takes. Just to give people a better example of how long it takes you and how hard it is.
I had an Etsy customer snap at me for telling him I couldn't make him a Tardis cookie jar and have it shipped across the country in four days and I actually just finished it last night.
Some people don't get that these things don't just HAPPEN. They take time.

Yeah. I do show off a lot of my process over on my Facebook page. Though, I've become wary of showing a detailed process. Too many damn copycats out there, ruining things for everyone.

Yeah, I understand that. But some things can't be replicated. You need the mad skills

That is true, to a degree.

I used to be very open, and 'teachful', and still am, to selective people (like someone who makes dogs instead of cats, and plans on applying what I teach them to that). But I'm getting a bit calloused from THIS sort of thing happening over and over. It sucks.

Yep. Some are. I'm about to start an internet campaign against this. If it doesn't get me my bit back, at least it will teach a lot of people why copying is a victimless crime.
