Description
Only commissioned after the end of the Occupation, the Denorios-Class was based on the interceptor-type patrol ship design, though scaled down from 140 meters to just under 34 meters. The Bajoran-built ship benefitted from having access to the plans of the Danube-Class runabout operated by Starfleet, which allowed the engineers to include the efficient and compact warp core powering two nacelles tucked just under the wings. The designers originally intended the ship to act as a recon ship for the Militia, though several civilian agencies showed interest in a compact scout or courier, so a few variations were produced, with some even ending up in the hands of private citizens for their own use.
