Description
In 2376, just a couple of months after the end of the Dominion War, with the former Cardassian Union in total disarray, Starfleet assumed ownership of Empok Nor and reactivated it, acting as a command, supply and repair station for the Task Force assigned to humanitarian aid and defence of the region. Nicknamed Waystation by the initial teams assigned to get the base operational, the name soon stuck as its official designation. Though under Starfleet control, a small contingent of Cardassian personnel was assigned to work with Starfleet to liaise and co-ordinate the vital work needed in the region.TOP ROW – Task Force Command Operations:

Is the Commodore allergic to the Retinax treatment?

Cheers.
My three creations are:
The Dallaran are a Federation member, dating back to around the 2250s, though from a trecherous region of space filled with spatial phenomona, they aren't exactly well known. They look very similar to humans, though can be identified by their eyes (females having bright yellow and males having bright green). They are also very long lived (estimated at arounf 400 years), as is evident with Commodore Morai being an 80 year Starfleet veteran.
The Itrondi are also Federation members, since just prior to the Cardassian War (around 2340). Despite having large brains and possessing high intellects, it is as traders and merchants that they have made their mark on the quadrant, there aren't many stations and outposts where they won't be found. Though they may look slim and frail, they are actually very resilient, able to function for days with little in the way of food or sleep.
The Rylarian are a cousin species of the Chandir, but are easily distinguised due to their bright blue colouring and two head-tails. As with the Chandir they are politically neutral, though do have several trading agreements in place with the Federation. Their head-tails are also used as de-fact musical instruments, able to produce a much wider range of pitches and notes (many of which cannot be heard by humans), whilst they are also famous for their exceptional singing.
I cannot take credit for the Brikar, Cardassian or Bolian templates.

Fascinating. I like where you're going with this. This almost looks like another Border Dog series to me.

When I thought them up, it had no connection to the Border Service at all

Oh, well, still, it's pretty awesome. I can't wait to see what you do with it. Keep up the great work, Bry. Though you don't post much at TOT11F anymore, I still enjoy seeing your writing at TrekBBS and STPMA.
