It sounds crazy, many years before the restart of Knight Rider i had many ideas for a new series. My favorite car was also a Mustang, maybe a classic or a modern design. The new KITT was better as in all my fantasies. Ok, is was not so difficult after the horrorable red design of the Knight 4000 *lol*

yeah, the red "concept" of KITT was less than desirable..I am glad they went with something hip for the new generation...

I think the producers of the movie has a contract with GM and Pontiac. The designers for new KITT had no ideas and so they have to take an old concept-design for a new Pontiac. Thanks god, the car was never build in series. The front of the KI4000 looks like the one of KI2000, but the other parts of the car. No chance in hell, forget it.

I think the Shelby Mustang Cobra K.I.T.T. comes damn close, great shot of him.
