5"x7" Prismacolor pencils on illustration board - soldThis piece is for the upcoming show, "Bad Habits and Guilty Pleasures" at Pink Ghost [link]
The title is indicative of her absorption in her own problems. She's playing the victim with the 'woe is me' attitude. It is her bad habit and guilty pleasure.

I'm in love with this, the imagery and the color is just so effective... and I was shocked to see that it was done in colored pencils. I really thought it was a painting. The message is bittersweet... I fit that description so bad >.< its awful, I hate it but I soooo do that and I love it x.x I think the skeleton with the flowing hair and cutesy makeup is a great representation of that self-defeating behavior

i really like how you've made it that the squares around her are blue and colourful, but she's staring at the gray and her heads right next to it, like there's a whole world around her but she's just focusing on the bleak side of the world...this is great! i like how you've made her not just a skeleton but with hair and lips...kinda lips (thats true about lipstick though! apparently girls eat like heaps of their lipstick...unknowingly...wonder if it has any nutritional value) anyways, i love it! i really love the way you do peoples hair with the colours in it, it looks brilliant
