Whoa - just noticed this comment. First of all - If I were to spend 50 hours painting something (which nobody would probably ever see) would I still have no life, or does the medium justify the time? Van Gogh spent a lot of time painting, did he have no life at all? I'm nearly best in the world at this. I've been on TV, in newspapers. No life, I guess. What are you best in the world at?

I think this one probably took about 25 hours to complete. About an hour a night for 2-3 weeks. Most time I've spent on any one etch, so far. Thanks.

That being said, did you have any points where someone shook it and you had to do it from scratch?

Thankfully that's never happened to me. I usually drill holes into the back of the etch and drain out all the aluminum dust before I sketch the picture. The I cover the holes with tape and begin the etching, so they're semi-permanant when finished.

Hey thanks for the comment! Just about anything you can draw on paper you can do on an etch-a-sketch. Gotta keep improving to get there..

I definitely had one growing up, but I probably didn't use it any more than average. Wish I had though, I only figured out I was any good at this a couple years ago.. so much wasted time! Thanks so much! Sorry for the late reply :/
