I second the question: How did you make the boots? And also the 3 way belt...did you buy it or make it?

As for the 3-way belt, I bought belt blanks and hardware from Tandy leather; cut & stained them. The point where they join at the front is fixed via a 3/4 in. Chicago screw, with a pewter button JB-welded onto the male end (Not a rivet or stud).
BTW, chicago screws are MUCH cheaper to purchase at a hardware store like home-depot or lowes. And it's so easy to glue a button on to it to create your own 'leather stud' look.
The belt's shoulder pad was made using the same material as the boots, as well as the belt pouches.
So impressive!
I have to ask again, how did you go about making those boots?!

Hey thanks.
The boot covers themselves were patterned and sewn using a faux suede (available at most joanns' in the upholstery dept.) Same applies to my other Link boots.

Unfortunately, most of the process is a necessary level of trial and error, and it took about 5 revisions on my pattern before I got it right, and even now there are things that I would do differently...so my advice is to pick a boot style and attempt the procedure

The shot is nice although it's a pity we miss a bit of the boots, but the pose works, the angle, and the background is lovely and it so does reminds me of the ruins found in Sacred Grove. Where was this shot?
And this is definitely my favourite cosplayer/cosplay of Link!
The outfit looks wonderful with the careful work on the design of the many tiny details of his tunic and the complete outfit such as: the ears not being exaggeratedly pointed, loving the patterns on the boots, the appropriate hair-cut, the glove, gauntlet, and gear, and also just the right "look" that Link would give, exuding youth, awareness and still a noble-looking stance.
Wow really. I'm in love with both the outfit and the cosplayer. Heh.
