half life 1 is such an amasing game. even today no games can match how classic and mind blowing half life 1 is. and to think it all started with a small game called half life 1 beta. were scientists were the size of a kid and were extremely cartoony, and barny was evil, and bullsquids looked like your worst nightmare. half life 1 deserves every one of those 50 awards it won, infact valve deserves the tile "worlds best shooting game company of all time". not even every halo game combined can match this wonderful peice of heaven. no matter how shitty looking this game is, no matter how dam frustrating this game is truly outstanding. i've played this game ever since i was 6, and god were those days good. tears literaly come to my eyes everytime i remember the days of playing half life 1. aah. the memories. but then came something interesting. half life 2. i was so happy to find that game in stores when i was with my dad. but when i played it... it didnt feel special nor did it feel fun. half life 2 is fun, dont get me wrong but...... i dont know whats wrong with it but i guess i just really dont like how much its changed. and episode 1 and 2... their garbage. episode 1 and 2 are good but seriously, half life isnt classic or great anymore now its just... a game... i hate to say this but half life 1's magic is gone. the only way to keep it alive is to do mods fro half life 1 in hammer, but it would be impssable to get it as wonderful as the original hl1. sigh.
