So we all know in the end that Pennywise becomes a giant spider. However, in this version he's something akin to a drider, with his upper half still mostly in clown mode. And this form is larger than the original incarnation of the spider - all the more menacing and wrong for it.
It can get worse as you think about it. The top of IT’s true form now retains the likeness of Bob Gray, the original Pennywise ever since his presumable descent into madness - and therefore, his symbiosis with IT. IT’s true form, or just the most of it that the human mind can comprehend, is a permanent mockery of the very basis of his design, and shows how far eons of nightmares have come.

I love this spider form better than just a giant spider. A giant spider is not its’ true form.
