hmm i just imagine that it's some type of plant made by a mage or such that feeds off of the sense of bliss that it promotes and is governed by some type of plant elemental made with it to surround the borders of the property. Thieves get caught and staff go out for their breaks. And all this mostly since I wanted to say I thought the leaves were meant to force people to laugh and breath in the spores. Overall very nice.
