Personality: A naive sweetheart, Nova still believes in the general goodness of the world.
History: His father's herd was in a secluded little valley, nestled safely in the mountains. They wanted for nothing, and disputes were nearly unheard of (and rarely witnessed by Nova himself). He left the herd on his own terms, with both his parents well-wishes, and is exploring the world outside the little valley for the first time - and on his own.
Very early on: Nova has discovered how terrible being on his own is. He is lonely. He wants some friends.
Not only is he lonely, Nova has gone through a lot of tribulations so far. Nova is not having fun. Nova is trying to be cheerful about it. But...sometimes, it's hard.
His loneliness, for the moment at least, seems to be over. He's found a mare who (somehow, Nova is still mystified) has decided to follow him. He's rather giddy, and hopes he'll do a good job. Even if at this point, seeing as she's older and more experienced than he, Nova has been turning to her for advice.

Hmmmmmm. The only two times he's had to swim he was 1) running for his life and 2) crossing to the new island. I don't imagine he enjoyed either one xD But he's gonna be the type of body guard who just sits on the beach looking important and doesn't actually do any work so it's okay xD

Maybe split the duties a lil bit more than usual? So one person is not having to draw ALLLL the participants, or color ALLLL the participants xD

That sounds good! It'd be nice to see a combination of our drawing skills too. Maybe if I drew the characters in the foreground, and you did the characters in the background? Then we could each colour/shade the other half's drawings, and then idk what for background o-o One of us could sketch the background, the other could colour it? I like how you colour your backgrounds, but I tend to draw in a lot of details with mine, so idk if you'd be happy to colour all of that!
Absolutely! And then there would need to be a picture of afterwards when they're nursing their wounds and drinking hot cocoa. THAT MADE ME REALIZE! You can get cocoa beans in the tropical region now. Otto could be Nova's cocoa supplier for his hot cocoa!

It is definitely easier to fit the background characters in around the foreground ones, than the other way around!
Now I'm just imagining Otto with all four limbs sticking straight out in casts and that whole "WAAAH WAAH" sound effect xD PERFECT. And Nova would be the Charlie character, poor but good of heart, who does everything ever asked of him and ends up winning the lifetime supply of chocolate

Maybe make the transition a little slower so it's more believable? A drastic personality change between one quest and another wouldn't really be good xD Though I must say I approve of the light hearted feeling - too many people try to go for "dark and mysterious" or "super duper cool" and while that's good and all, you gotta have some lighthearted funness in there. Not everyone can be super cool with swooshy hair - that gets BORING lol.

Possibly? Idk o-o I think I already started going light-hearted in my last few anyway. Otto just slowly transitioned into a goofball of his own accord, now that I think about it. In the last quest picture I drew for him he fell into a river while chatting to a mare. Of my own accord.
And they'll be reminiscing about the good ol' days, when they got chased by humans at the ranch
