Lol but its not purple tho! It is legitimately a black Chestnut - he's a very dark, very desaturated reddish brown. But on some monitors he looks like he has a purply tint. Which is a mystery I have yet to solve XD

I would reckon that it depends on the black-base. If you use black of a bluebase, and mix it with the redbrown, it will produce a purple hue?
I really dont know. I totally see, that it is actual chestnut. But the combination makes my brain think its got a purple teint. Not sure if its due to my monitor - I have heard of that earlier too. I dont know <3<3<3.

I've heard of people tricking the eye like that, yes! But everything is red (or pinkish. There's some pinkish in there! Maybe those?) tones, even the restricted markings!
The only reason why I say I think it's monitors is that my phone doesn't show purplish, or my work comp, but my home monitor does xD I'm not really sure myself lol! IT IS TRICKSY <3 <3 <3
