Atop a skyscraper in Olympia Bay, Thunder Woman snuggled with Katrina Becker. Though familiar with the heroine ever since her debut, including heroically intervening to help her in battles at the downtown Olympia Bay City Bank, it was only just recently that Katrina had learned that Thunder Woman was her friend and former girlfriend. It felt...good, to be back together again.

Samantha sighed, enjoying the moment as they watched the night sky.

"Why did we ever break up? What was so wrong with this?"

Katrina turned to regard her.

"Different priorities, as I recall."

"Yeeeaah," Samantha said, thinking back to the...spirited conversation they had had all those years ago. Where they wanted to go, what they wanted to do. "I just...couldn't see it then. How much I really meant to you. I wanted to do what I wanted to do so much I didn't really think about how you felt. Just all about me, Samantha West, going out to conquer the world of archeology and men and women, rar!" Katrina chuckled.

"I think you're describing me there too."

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah." Katrina leaned back into Samantha, enjoying the strong, powerful arms around her. Familiar, yet with a calm energy that excited her. "You were all I really had, and I didn't want to consider that you needed to be free. I'm fine with where I'm at, but you? You have to travel, experience new things. You can't be stuck in the same rut, the same routine Samantha. It...hurts you. I didn't see it then, but I remember how low you looked back then. I just wish I could've seen it then, avoided the hurt."

A moment passed, as they absorbed their confessions. Samantha was the first to break the silence.

"So, what now?"

"I don't know. You're the one in charge here."

"Am I?"

"Tell me, which one of us is the superpowered demigoddess again?"

"Well, I'm not a literal goddess Kat-"

"Not literally! Sheesh Sam, you and your pickiness with words."

They shared a laugh.

"So, still don't have an answer to the question."

"I guess, let's just relax, enjoy the moment, see where it goes."

Katrina snuggled closer to Samantha, their faces almost touching, as they relaxed under the starry night.

A bit of a stab at an idea I've had of Samantha and Katrina Becker getting back together at some point, likely after Katrina puts together that her old girlfriend/lover is the new big superheroine in the city. Plus, I want to explore and show more of Samantha's other romantic relationships, particularly with the other side of the coin.

Obviously this is before Katrina is transformed into Ranke.
