Pardon the briefness of these character descriptions. I have not quite worked out complete bios for these characters yet, so what I'm sharing is just the basic gist of each one.

The Elemental was a young woman from southern Zaire, a volunteer for an environmental activist group seeking to block a plan by a multinational corporation to establish a mining outpost. But she was killed by a vicious guerilla group hired by the corporation, only to return as a living personification of earth and nature. Her initial rampage was halted by Moebius and Moksha, who both made it appear as though heroes from the Wadhibiti had defeated the entity, and she was recruited into the Sovereignty as their "nuclear solution," with plausible deniability as to the true purpose behind her seemingly random attacks. In addition, she provides them valuable insight into the nature of mankind's effect and relationship with the earth. Initially little more than an anthropomorphic "force of nature", Moksha and the rest of the Sovereignty are working hard to restore the Elemental's humanity and prevent her from fully becoming an inhuman, capricious being of mass destruction.
