I made this ages ago, back in the days before "502gate" as I'm forever going to call it. The WWII contest had been announced but was not taking entries, therefore I now submit the classic german MP40.

I know LM has just announced that we needed enter new concepts or original mods into the contest but I spent 6 hours on this baby and I'm not blinging it up just for the sake of it! Maybe I'll enter a modified version at some point but i wanted it on here first as a good ol plain recreation. (note to LM: move it to recreations if you don't think it's under the criteria you want but i'm entering this on a whim.)

Since I have recently been getting into the art of shapes I had to have a go at this. About 90% is custom from shapes. I think i might be getting the hang of this.

Stats below, feel free to air your opinion (unless your are 502 supporter, then bugger off)

Cartridge 9x19mm Parabellum
Action Straight blowback, open bolt
Rate of fire 550 rounds/min
Muzzle velocity ~380 m/s (1,247 ft/s)
Effective range 100 m
Feed system 32-round detachable box magazine
Sights Hooded front blade, fixed and flip-up U-notch rear
