Team Etherial was formed due to a series of freak malfunctions in the brain of the mad scientist BT. Apparantly after 10 hours of coding html (for the first time) for a uni project, his creativity side and his anger side both short-circuited resulting in the bizzare train of thought "Well, how come everyone else can have a sonic heroes team with their friends and i cant ?! *mutter grumble snarl* ill show them!"

And team Etherial was born ...

Speed
Name: Astral
Species: Artic Fox

History: It was one day during a school trip to a sugar factory that Astral first discovered his ability to move at incredible velocites. Nowadays he has refined this skill into an ability to enter an "overcharged" state during which there are very few creatures that can keep up with him. Many bad guys have made the mistake of not feeling threatened by him due to his incredible cuteness, but toss him just one pixi-stick and you'd better hold on for dear life.

Overcharge Items Include: Caffeinated Icecream, Cinder Toffy, chocolate fudge and melon slices.

Special Item: Shiny Thing Lure

Built along the same lines as the donkey-carrot lure, the "shiny thing" lure has been engineered with a higher degree of shinyness and the capability to withstand travel at extreme speeds. When wearing this Astral's innate desire to chase down any shiny object is combined with his overcharge ability, unlocking even higher speeds.

Power
Name: Rayne
Species: Rac Cona Daimh (Raccoon)

History: Little is known about the origins of Rayne, although there is much speculation ... even to the point that he is a human in disguise. Although if this is true, then how he managed to shrink down to the rac-conan average height of 2 feet is a mystery, many scholars have proposed the "suck it in" theory, suggesting that he simply exhaled until he reached this size ... many other people think that those scholars are just nutters. Although not especially strong buy the standards of other "power" members such as Knuckles, any enemies who mock him about "not being able to punch his way out of a paper bag" quickly found that his etherial Accera Blades can tear through paper and fabric as if it was nothing more than processed, compressed plant fibers. Truth be told, the power of his accera blades is limited, but that does not stop them being fearsom weapons in a fight, most enemies should be very wary of him, lest he inflict a brutal frenzy of paper cuts on you!

Special Items: Cup-A-Soup

Armed with a cup-a-soup, Rayne instantly refreshes himself, restoring his stamina and power levels to their optimum standards. In colder climates, this also warms him up, increasing his ability to function as if it were a more temperate location.

Flight
Name: Kahlin Longshore
Species: Rac-cona-Daimh (Raccoon)

History: A wind-mage, or more corectly, a storm-mage in the Rac-conan acadamy for Luxcraft, Kahlin uses his control of the wind to grant temporary flight to his teammates so long as they are not too fussy about where and how quickly they land. A warning though, any wisecracks along the lines of him having a "bad case of wind" are likely to result in electrocution with extreme prejudice.

Special Item: Parachutes

Not so much for himself, but for his teammates. These high-tech pieces of equipment greatly increase his teammates willingness to be launched into the air with his windblast spells. Further upgrades to this item include the addition of crash helmets and big fluffy pillows that can be strapped to the victims ... i mean flyers.

Final notes:
The team motto is a nod towards one of the bg level music soundtracks in sonic adventure 2, as well as Tobias Myth's msn name
