Description
Sort of a speed painting of a Brain Bug from Starship Troopers. I say sort of because it probably took me 10 hours all together...don't know if that counts for "speed".
**PLEASE NOTE: I will hide any comments that make mention of this thing's resemblance to "lady parts". Everyone knows this, Captain Obvious, and you are not being clever or in any way unique when you point it out.

The face detail is amazing. Though the rest of the bug leaves more to be desired. I would have added more definition to the back so that the whole picture would be uniform. The detail of the face as I said was detailed. I love the detail on the orifice where the 'brain straw' comes out. The face of the brain bug leaves nothing more to be desired from it. The detail on the eyes are good as well. Of course if it was your intention to leave the background blurred for more concentration on the face then I believe it makes an amazing piece of art!

I honestly had some trouble with the background. I didn't leave myself enough room to make the head casque as large as it needed to be for any detail, and shrinking the face down would have caused a loss of deffinition.
I think I could have taken more time with the highlights on the eye "sacks" as well, in retrospect.

But you can also only wonder if the people who made this movie were high enough to make the big look like lady parts-think about it-makes sense.

Oh that was the worst part of the movie for me-when the bug sucked the guys brains out (although I loved his epic last words-"one day, somebody like me is going to kill you and your whole fucking bug race!") I could handle the people getting snapped in half, the students doing experiments with the giant cockroaches, some dude's head exploding, etc. but the part where I turned away was the part where he had a big fat ol bug suck his brains out. Anyways-this is really awesome!!! The details are splendoriffic!!!! It looks just like the movie!!!!

Alright, at this point...I think it's obvious what everyone thinks this thing looks like.
Trust me (and EVRYone else) it's NOT an original idea. So...from this point on, I will delate any more comments unless they have somthing (at all) to say other than it's resemblance to a human female sex organ.

I'm not a particular fan of demon vagina myself, but I'm glad you all like it. lol
I had actually Googled "insect photagraphy" under images...looking for a nice detailed pic of a meal worm or some other grub-like thing. The brain bug showed up around the 30th entry...which is odd...surrounded by beautiful shots of REAL bugs. And I was like hey...that thing's grub-like...and would be a challenge...plus it's badass. Not to mention the movie is a long time favorite of mine.
And that's why I drew a big, nasty vagina bug.
