Description
I think I have finished the base mesh and this is my first test on Gen8,
the materials are shaders but this is how I imagined it anyway.
The rest of the work will be continued inside DAZ (and Blender of course)
to make it fully functional with morph corrections and full body morphs.
Feedback would be very much helpfull, now I will make her
some nice gloves and maybe shoes/boots/?, not sure because I'm not good at shoes at all.

Looks so nice! Maybe some nice sandal flat would look nice? With material zones so ppl could put mesh between straps on those too, like on the dress?

You read my mind!
Yes, I'm thinking a pair of sandal boots (google them), I thought of it when I made the gloves
because they reminded me of sandals

no, I'm still making changes on the mesh, I think I may finish it tonight with a pair of gloves
(but then I have to make some shoes too )

Some shoes are definitely needed, I think a pair of ankle boots will make it a wonderfful outfit

very nice ! yes you can make great clothes in Blender. The best thing with belnder is you can add accessories on clothes. In Marvelous I cant !

But since you know both, you can start in MD and finishe your outfit in Blender!
About shoes: I should start from the sole and then building the rest of the mesh right?

SilentLadyGTA In reply to BubbleCloud [2019-09-05 08:56:11 +0000 UTC]
Yes and no ! There is a problem with MD. UV generated are very very bad quality. When imported in Blender some part of the cloth are streched with sharp angles and I cant smooth them except if I remesh the cloth.
I think yes you need to start with sol. There is very good tool in Blender: Retopology !youtu.be/2hEHtKH55Us
In 2.8 there is also a new tool more powerfull

Your comment reminded me to download April's dress and check the mesh!
Thank you for this very good video!
To be honest, I use the Shrinkwrap modifier a lot,
because this magnet option makes my laptop slow and I hate modeling
in this slow speed.
So I use the Shrinkwrap modifier, then apply, then continue editing,
then again the modifier, apply, and I do it as many times it needs to
give me a good result!
For shoes, the Shr-wrap modifier can create a nice mesh from a cube I gues
around the foot, and I can continue from there!
I haven't tried it yet though, maybe it's time!
