So.. I'm trying to switch to Daz Studio 4.6 and I started by tranfering my girls to Genesis (using Generation X).The clothes seem to be a problem though, the ones designed for V4 AND those for Genesis. They don't fit that well..
And what's wrong with the eye surface..?
So, here's Shaya in Genesis! Finished her materials and morphs today.

Why do you want to transfer you girls to Genesis? V4 works just fine in 4.6
I don't use Genesis at all, it is so confusing with all these figures derived from it, in the end you have to shell out a lot of $$$ to buy all the morph packs needed

The Genesis mesh is higher poly than Gen 4 and, as in result, smoother.
Also, I can use all the clothes, skins and hair for Gen 5 and Genesis 2 Female on my girls now.
Plus, I can mix and match the shapes now with the Genesis ones.
The only thing you need is Gen X and V4 shape for Genesis. The procedure is very easy and then you can just save the new
morph as a Genesis shape.
To me, this is the only way to move to DS 4.6, otherwise I'll always open the Ds3.

So, if I undersdand correctly, these two things (Gen X and V4 shape) work with both Genesis and the new Genesis 2? For characters and also for clothings? I suppose there is something similar for M4, too?

I mean I can convert your models, so that you don't have to buy the Gen X.
At the moment, you can convert V4 morphs into Genesis (1) figure only.
Tranfering the morphs into Genesis 2 is not possible yet. I guess they will update GenX soon.
But the clothes for Gen 2 Female fit on Genesis too, with no problem.
You don't need to convert clothes etc, DS 4 does the rest by autofitting.
I need to warn you: Gen 4 clothes don't fit that well.

Ah, somehow I did expect that clothes conversion wouldn't be too good, I have Crossdresser that does the same with other figures and the results are never satisfactory. I think I'll start playing with Genesis one of these days, I have it installed but I never used it
