Description
.. or Eurasian Collared Dove."Decaocto" is a greek word and means "eighteen", because the song/sound of this bird is very similar with the sound of the greek decaocto.
The legend says that the bird was a woman with 18 children, who were kidnapped and taken away from her. She got crazy looking for her children, wondering on the streets, calling for them, and yelling the number "eighteen".
God felt sorry for her and he turned her to a bird, so that she finds peace..
This one in the photo actually lives in our courtyard for two years, with her "husband" and their kids.
