Sit around children, and let me tell you of the story how I made my first OC.
Kimiko has come a long way. I developed her alllllll the way back in 2006-2007, where she made her first appearance on the now dreaded website called "Quizilla".

I was new to the Naruto OC world and knew little about development. Kimiko was terribly underdeveloped. Had little information about her that I never knew to add.
In my opinion she wasn't completely horrid to the point where she could be labelled a Sue, but just needed something to fix her. Exposing myself to dA, I learned a lot. And since I knew how to develop, I developed her as much as I could, fixing whatever kinks I thought needed to be fixed. There are a couple of kinks left, but it doesn't mean I still strive to fix them.
But along the way, I laughed at the horrid OCs, looked up to the good ones and learned. And with learning, I became glad of how I could make an OC that was decent.

It also helped that I kept myself open and accepted critiques. It showed me what could be fixed and what was good. Because you know, everyone is going to criticize you in life, whether it be positive of negative and you should be open to that. Or else you'd just end up being a delusional butthurt child that no one likes and won't get far in life(Total offense! xD).
Now with a decent character, people do praise me, and it feels good. Even if they overlook some mistakes I see myself. I like to work to be better. It makes me feel better. vuv

Also, I was apart of Photobucket. And all the cool kids were editing screenshots. So I thought it was okay. It wasn't until I came to dA. It clicked in my mind that tracing was actually a bad thing, so I have been drawing on my own ever since. And I couldn't be happier. I'm so thankful to the person who reported that picture. You made me realize what was wrong and what was right. You helped get me to where I was today.

*I think what I meant was that she wasn't good at it, but tries anyways. I didn't know much about needing to balance out weaknesses and strengths, but I always felt like she shouldn't be good at everything.

Kimiko's New Profile

There wasn't a lot of information I could find on the old Kimiko. If I come across more, I'll add it. But I was a good little girl and deleted the bad stuff(Damnit). xD;;

I also always wanted to give her outfit colour since the very beginning, but I never knew as to what. I was scared of colour, thinking that it may be the wrong choice. So I went with boring black. I greatly dislike black outfits as they usually do not have anything that makes them stand out. Not that you want to stand out when being a ninja, but why not have a bit of fun with colours?
