Description
So now for something completely different ^^!As an Anthro artist that generally sticks with the more traditional..or perhaps overused species *o*, this has been a very interesting commission for me ^.^! It's always great to try something new, so it's perhaps something you might find change about my work ^^!
Thanks to Dolphinwarrior for commissioning me, I'm very, very glad you like it!
...for those who like my 'usuals', nevar fear, I've got so much WIP I could poop myself!

Nice work. The moody blue lighting makes this look like a mysterious ruin he's exploring, and it's detailed enough to show little things like how the light reflects off the parts of his skin near the water.

that is something very very very VERY similar to a dolphin anthro i got in my mind today on english - were doing anthropomorphism and had to write about any animal and i chose a dolphin, then we had to make it into an anthro - and this is the rough impression that i got. how spooky!! O_O'

well it wasnt really a story, it was basic info on the animals like what they wear and like to do etc, and most people ewent for Tom and Jerry type anthros but i imagined a 'traditional' dolphin anthro
buuutt... ive got homework for tomorrow (havent finished it

That's a unique animal to anthropomorphize. I think the reason no one ever uses animals like dolphins is because they don't know how to do it, but clearly, your commissioner has some interesting taste, and this picture shows that you have some amazing talent! I especially love the blue hue and the way the fins are arranged on the character's body.

I'm glad you like it ^^! Yeah, Dolphins make interestingly weird subjects when it comes to anthro! That tends to be the nature of commissions, you're asked to do subjects that you would probably never have done ^^!

This is gorgeous and the colors are beautiful. You did a great job keeping the dolphin-feel of the warrior while also "changing him up" so he can be humanoid enough to stand and live like he does.

Definitely my favorite pic of yours, I love the environment and the lighting. The character is beautifully done, too! Dolphin anthros can be tough draw aesthetically but you did a great job.

Dolphin anthros remind me vaguely of Zoras from Legend of Zelda...
Remarkable in the fact that the design works well, and the colors are rich even if the background competes a little with the figure.
I love the water detail.

This is absolutely stunning, especially the background. What size is it and how long did it took you? Also, I really wouldn't mind if you told me what kind of pencils and/or paper you used. *grin*

Why thank you ^^, I'm glad you like it! And sure I can tell you what I used! To be specific, the paper is Daler Rowney 'Murano' and the thing itself is just prisma colour pencils :3! As for how long, I really can't say as it was put together between sending off WIP images! I get asked that quite alot, so I'll keep an eye on the time in future
