It's something I struggle with when I paint digitally, my paintings always look flat and airbrushed with no noticeable brush strokes. Your are so rich with texture its just wonderful!

It is only the Truth or at least the way I see your fine art. Your detailing skills impress me beyond words. That coupled with the great character forms and poses always capture my deepest imaginative thoughts and inspire myself to push forward with my own artistic training in hope to one day compose such fine art like that I see in your own.
Indeed you are right,my art does reflect the journey I am on to artistic perfection.
But it is because of Great artists like yourself that I begun this journey in the first place. I watch many artist on DA and have even become good friends with some.
But Very few of them impress me as much as you do when it comes to Finely defined details in there art. Sorry,but for me Detail is the Heart of an art piece. And no one I have seen yet can render detail to such a degree of perfection as yourself.

No need to worry about late replies,I fully understand. I myself am never timely with my comments...I find it creates suspense.
I have often heard that when you have truly mastered,and you feel there is nothing more you can learn...then it is time to stop and put away your tools. For the challenge will be gone as will the need and drive you once had trying to acquire this perfection. I tend to agree with this,and hope that I never truly master my art....rather find a nice place in the hall to hang it.
Indeed perfection likely can not be obtained,Though I believe you are as close to it as anyone can get.
I find that interesting. I watch artist's who are (for lack of a better word) "Less skilled" than I....and try my best to both encourage and help them grow. Just as I watch Great Artist's like yourself for inspiration as well as to watch them further master there works. It's interesting seeing how that works....I suppose it would be considered the Artist's circle of life?

Yea it was a good day for me,I had the day off.
I fully agree the process of creating an Artwork is much more enjoyable than finishing it. Though as for it "Turning out well." No matter how hard I work on a piece,I always find flaws in the end with it. Sometimes I find this disappointing. However actually having completed the work still brings it's own joys.

This is really awesome once again. The light effects and the overwhelming high grade of detail make this picture a really special one. I just love the way you did the armor and the fur and the combination of the cold steel colors and the warm fur coloring. The contrast of fur and steel is pretty nice at all in this picture. I also love the anatomy you have done here and the pose as well. Very damn well done piece of art again.
