The colours always look better on my tablet and that will piss me off forever
With this one I kind of experimented with the shading and used much darker tones, and I quite like how it turned out so I'll probably do that with future drawings.
The lineart I posted didn't have the hair/fur/whatever on the legs but I thought it would look tons better this way, which it does.
The previous versions didn't have the dark grey areas on the bottom wings but it looked off likiconekaliel:e that, so I changed it.
Just in case anyone's wondering, the pattern on the backs of the wings are basically just the same as the front.

A different style implies a different game. Like taking the concepts and making something somewhat inspired by pokemon; but not pokemon.

Honestly, I see where you're coming from, but I get that kind of comment a lot, and they get quite repetitive when all I'm doing is drawing in a style that I enjoy.

I am a game designer and programmer before I am an artist and something 'pokemon-like' that is more than different enough to be it's own game has been on my list for a long time; have around 30 pages of plans on alternate systems, though I haven't the resources to make it. I was just wondering if this more realistic art style would suit the concept is all. It is not a criticism.

That's true c: I'd quickly lose interest in Fakemon art if everyone drew theirs in Sugi style. It's nice to see the artist's stylistic originality as well as their designing abilities.
