If you look through my gallery at some of my other pictures, you can tell how much better that I've gotten at coloring with Gimp.
I'm not QUITE as good as I'd like to be, but I'm pretty sure that I'll get there with a little practice.
Of course it doesn't hurt that practice is fun, ESPECIALLY when I get to practice coloring such pretty lineart!

Honestly, I think I would have been lost without color refs.

I am not very good in gimp, myself. I did notice you colored the inks instead of leaving them black, which I always find is a nice touch.

Yep, I created the background by using one of Gimp's renders, and then I edited it a bit. P: I'm quite proud of how much better I've gotten at coloring digitally.
Yep, since there's no transparency information in this drawing, there's nothing for dA to turn into a black box.

I think Gimp is somewhat similar to photoshop.. but I'm not quite sure since I've only used Pixia and Gimp to color my pictures. Oh yeah.... and MSPaint as well.
I do know that there's a Gimp plugin that makes Gimp work more like photoshop, but I haven't used it.
