I absolutely adore these books. They mean a ton to me, and my love for owls (not in the "omg so cute" way, but pure interest to learn about their species, genetics, intelligence, literally everything about them) was born from reading the series. So here is a bunch of illustrations of my takes on the characters. The movie did not do them justice! Barn owls do not have yellow eyes, and Nyra's poorly made design was a disgraceful interpretation of her character in the film. I will draw more of the books, maybe more characters, maybe some scenarios from the books. As you can see, I enjoyed drawing Kludd the most. That is what disappointed me the most in the film, Kludd not being Metalbeak. So I drew 3 Kludds, before Metalbeak, after his beak was ripped off and his old mask melted to his face, and him with his new mask.

I hope this isn't too unsettling or brutal. If someone finds it to be mature content I will gladly put the filter on, just comment! I hope you enjoy my drawings of these characters that are so dear to me!
